ESTATE SETTLEMENT SERVICES

One of our most critical roles as your executor is to gather, account for, and value all estate assets and safeguard those assets from damage or loss. These tasks can be more complex when assets such as private businesses, real estate, antiques, art, cars, and other collectibles are involved, and we are accustomed to dealing with unique and specialty assets.

As your executor, we comply with state law requirements, including requirements of the state probate court that has jurisdiction over your assets. As an experienced executor, we understand how to file federal and state income and estate tax returns, including knowing the tax and property laws of the applicable jurisdictions.

One of the most challenging aspects of serving as an executor involves managing complicated intrafamily dynamics at a time of grief and loss. Through many years of experience dealing with complex family situations, we are able to maintain objectivity during an emotionally charged period.
